ELLA ONEILL WILL RACE NO MORE. New York, July S. Fred Rnrlew says his good two-year-old filly, F.lla ONeill, is permanently ruined for racing and will be retired to the stud. She was cut down in the race for the Vernal Stakes at Slieepshead Hay Saturday. Ella ONeill is ly Handspring Royal Approval, and cost Bur-lew and ONeill ,500 as a yearling. She started seven times, won twice, was second once and third twice, earning ,7S0. Her victories were the Bouquet Stakes and the Fashion Stakes at Belmout Park.
