CONDENSED HISTORY OF THE LAWRENCE REALIZATION. The Lawrence Idealization was devised as a sequel to the Futurity. The conditions of both races were prepared by the then Secretary Lawrence of the Coney Island Jockey Club. This big event for threes tar-olds was at first called Tho Realization, hut after the death of Mr. Lawrence was changed to Its present name in Ids honor. It was his hoie that the Futurity would attain an annual value of 00,000 and the Realization of at least half as much, but neither has ever reached the hoped for figures.
