REMUS SHOOTS BRANNAN. .T. IT. Brannan, the owner of Bell Reed, Peter J., and other horses, was shot through the body by a turf follower by tin: name? of Remus at Butte, Mont., Tuesday. Remus is under arrest. The shooting was done in the oliice of the race track secretary, and Renins was promptly ruled off the turf. .Monday night Remus struck a lame man. Brannan grabbed him and threw him down. For this he shot Brannan the next day.
