Meddlesome Boy began slowly and finished Willi a rush. Charlie Eastman Iaked much speed and tired at the end. Dishabille broke down soon-after the start and pulled tip verv lame. Anoura broke slowly and was forced to work her way up on the outside, lost ground on all turns and tired in the final drive. Marlon Moore, a rapid breaker, dashed to the front and set a fast pace for a half mile, but had nothing left when the others challenged. Margot ran well. The others were always outpaced. Charlie Gilbert followed the early fast pacemaker closely, moved up wilh a sudden rush after going six furlongs and, taking the lead on the stretch turn, held the others safe through the last furlong and ,von witU speed in reserve. Cave Adsum was restrained for the first six furlongs and seemingly In danger of .being shuIied back, was eased a trille and taken wide, then finished fast and gamely and was best of ti e others. Tourcnne was a distant trailer for a half mile and sent into contention with a rush, causing him to tire in the final drive. Ellicott tired badly after looming up dangerously on the stretch turn and his lameness at the finish may liaVe accounted for his poor showing. Old Honesty, under restraining iactics, ran poorly.
