PETER PAN INJURES HIMSELF. New York, July 31. The great Peter Pan will, after all, not start in the Brighton Derby next Saturday and race-goers will miss what promised to lie the rarest racing treat of the season. James R. ; Keene made the announcement that on account of having struck himself in his work this morning,-his colt was temporarily incapacitated from racing. How serious the injury is, time will only reveal. There is a considerable swelling of the injured parts. .7. L. McGinnis tonight notified Secretary Boden that he will start Frank Gill in the Brighton Derby. He worked well today.
