Zclina dashed to the front in the first sixteentli and carried Temnieraire along at a pace that made the latter quit after they had gone a half mile and had plenty in reserve to stall off Royal Onyx. The latter began slowlv, but came through on the inside when entering the homestretch and finished fast and gamely under punishment. Paul Clifford was rated along at the same clip all the way. Temmeraire showed speed, but emit in the stretch drive. Botanist broke slowly and was outrun all the way. The winner was entered for ,100; no bid. Scratched 70S50 Shenandoah, 110. Guarda outbroke her opponents and showed her usual dasli of early speed, but tired under punishment in the last furlong. Bantry Bay came through on the inside after entering the homestretch and finished gamely under a drive. Altar Boy was well up in the early stages, but did not respond with his usual dash when called on at the end. Green Dale quit as if short. The winner was entered for ,000: no bid. Dunbeath was unable to extend himself freely in the going and lumbered along at a slow pace all the way. Twenty Shot fell at the eleventh jump, but was remounted and finished the course. Henry O. was easily best, ran under restraint for the first mile, then dashed to the front when released from "restraint and was eased up in the last furlong and only cantering at the end. Peter Knight set the early pace on sufferance and was ridden out hard all of the last quarter to stall off Onatas. The latter was" sore when going to the post and pulled up very lame after having sulked all the way. Peter Becker and Bonfire were outclassed. The winner was entered for 1907.sh00; no bid. Louis Koedcrer got off slowly, but quickly dashed around his opponents on the far turn, showed great Kp"d in the going, opened a decisive lead when straightened out in the homestretch and was under ivstraint through the last sixteenth. Goes Fast, away in a tangle, steadily gained on the others while loundiiig the far turn, but tired in the last eighth. Chief Desmond kept Burt G. Lewis close company to the stretch turn, where he came to the outside and finished gamely, but tiring. Burt G. Lewis outbroke hi opponents, but Diggins kept him on the outside all the way and let go his head a couple of times in the last quarter and the colt did not run his race. Balla ran poorly. Matches Mary showed speed. The winner was entered for ?S00: no bid. Where he came through on the inside, closed up gamely in the stretch run and out-nayod Fiat iii the final drive. Fiat lost ground wlien entering the homestretch, where he came wide, but losed up again and finished with a rush. " Prince Brutus was much used in setting the pace and tired under punishment at the end. Jack Kerchoville moved up gamely when rounding th far turn and made a determined challenge at the furlong post, but tired in the final drive. No Trumpcr finished resolutely and close up.
