Lady Vie. lucky throughout, assumed the lead soon after the start and, maintaining a fast pace throughout, won witli plenty in reserve. Katherine Murphy came like a shot when clear and, finishing with ganie-ness. was wearing the winner down at the end. Parisian Model, shuttled far back soon after the start and forced to go wide into tlie stretch, gained steadily and, with clear sailing, would have won. Shirley Knssiiiore showed speed for a half, but tired thereafter and will improve. Vansel, better handled, would have been a sharp factor. Moscow Belle can do better. Severus put up a sparkling performance and was a sharp factor for tlie first half, but tired slightly thereafter. AAhlsk Broom ran poorly, failing to show much speed, but closed up a good gap through the stretch. Jangle, although trying to hear out most of the way, ran fairly well. Convolo ran as if much the best, was caught In a jam soon after the start and almost pulled up to a standstill, then gained steadily when full in his stride and. finishing fast and gamely through tlie stretch, won drawing away. Ovelando put up an extra good performance and also suffered from crowding soon efter the start, tired slightly in the final drive and will improve. Lady Carol, away fast, showed a high flight of early speed and raced Usury into defeat, then held 011 well In tlie final drive. Topsy Robinson had a rough trip and can do much better. Beau Bruniniel ran far below his best form and was weakly ridden. Woodson tired fast after going a quarter. Hannibal Bey was away too poorly to cut much figura in the result.
