Lamptrimuier bad much the best of a poor start ami, showing much speed, set a stltf pace In the early stages, then" appeared beaten on the stretch turn but. standing a hard drive gamely, wore down Nello,tte . again in the final strides. Neilette, probably best, bad to close a big early gap and, saving ground when turning into the stretch, took the lead, only to tire in the last few strides. Belle of Penzance had no mishaps ami ran well, but was not good enough. Lou Nillin went wide all the way. Elastic was away too poorly to cut much figure in the race. Mclzat much the best, was restrained until well straightened out for the .stretch run, where he moved up resolutely and won going away. Pleasant View Belle showed good form and paced the lield steadily for the first half, but weakened .slightly thereafter. Hasty Agnes licgnn slowly and ran green, but finished with a rush. Caltlia .suffered from slight interference and can do much better. Edna Mutter was going stoutly through the stretch. Belle Scott, away fast and well handled, was restrained for the lirst three furlongs, moved up fast there after aild won well in hand. Mattie Mack moved up resolutely when clear, hut was not good enough to beat the winner.- Ada Rice, almost left at the post, showed a tremendous flight of specTd, but tired near the end. Aline Crockett tired fast after a brief display of speed. Stoner Hill had a small advantage at the start And, showing good speed, appeared a certain winner until on the stretch turn, where he weakened. Jim Simpson ran fairly well and will- Improve. Addax showed a good flight of early speed, but tired slightly near the end and will improve. Enlist closed a big gap after going wide on the stretch turn. Tackle tired after going a half and can do much better. Merrilield, given a listless ride and away poorly, ran far below his best form. Suzanne Rocamora came from a long way back in the last half, saved much ground when coming into the stretch and ran a good race. Doubt suffered from interference on the first turn, closed up a big gap in the last half and finished with a rush. Benora ran fairly well under poor riding. Kohnotlaw was knocked back on the first turn and forced to go wide most of the way. Sea Mate and Mathls were prominent in the early stages, "but quit after going a half.
