Momentum decisively outbroke, outpaced and outstayed the others, was not entirely keyed up and will improve. Belle of Iroquois maintained nearest pursuit of the winner throughout and ran a surprisingly good race. Rockstone, away badly, closed up steadily into a fast going third. Green Seal was in prominent contention to the last sixteenth, where he tired as if short. Golden West, after forward and persistent pursuit of the pacemaker, was crowded out right at the end and forced to pull up. Sir Totldlngtoa was shuttled back in the first quarter and closed up rapidly at the end. Don Enrique, llatfooted and repeatedly pulled up, was filially carried hopelessly wide and had no chance to get up. Berwick was squeezed out at the start. The winner was entered for ,300; no bid. Ilalket, from a striding start, ran in nearest and most persistent pursuit of the pacemaker and, despite going very wide in the stretch, wore liiin down finally. Fort Johnson outbroke and outpaced the others easily for the first half and linally tired and swerved into defeat. C. AV. Burt, away badly, closed a big gap and took third place in a superior effort. Queen Marguerite ran prominently throughout and held on gamely. Antaeus, badly outrun for the first half, was gaining slowly at the end. Live AVire broke well, but tired after three furlongs of near attendance on the pacemaker and was heavily bandaged before and behind. First Premium, from a lucky start, ran in close pursuit of the pacemaker from the start, drew out under pressure in the stretch and won ridden out. Old Honesty ran within striking distance from the start, closed up in sensational style right at the end and ran a cracking race. Orbicular drew out quickly and made the running to midway of the stretch before he succumlied, put up a very game finish and probably was short. Altuda, shullled back early, closed a idg gap in the last half and finished like a shot. Wei-bourne, away poorly, closed up slowly and finished a fast going fifth. Zienap closed a big gap in the last half and Is extra good. Tipping, crowded back early and pulled up, made up much ground in the last three-quarters. Yankee Girl ran poorly. Security, on the inside and crowded back, weiit wide finally and got tip for second place in a whirlwind finish. Tom McGrath, nearly left, closed an immtmsc early gap and tired finally. Lotus broke slowly, but steadily improved her position into a fast going fourth and irf becoming extra good. Lady Anne, after relinquishing an early lead, held on gamely in the closing struggle. Edna Jackson, never dangerous, but away poorly in close quarters on the inside, finished well. Aeronaut, nearly left, made mi some ground in the last half. Woolstone helped force the pace and drew out in the stretcli like the winner, but succumbed quickly and finished tiring badly. Aster dOr set the pace hard held for nearly a mile, then tired and was forced out of position and pulled up and came again very, gamely. Red Friar, weli up from the start, finished- fast and is good. Fiavigny was shut off repeatedly and closing up like a Ehpt at the end. Missouri Lad, away poorly, had a good position in the middle running, but failed unex- pectedly in the last half-.- J. ?P.
