THREE WINDSOR FAVORITES WIN. Detroit; Mich., October 14. Well-backed horses won live of the six events at AVindsor today and three of them were favorites. There was a big improvement in weather and this, coupled witli the ending of the baseball games, was responsible for a decided improvement in the attendance. Already an extension of another week is talked of. The feature race, a mile condition affair, was won by the Valley Farm Stables Glimmer, which duplicated his easy victory of Saturday. This was Glimmers second win of the season. In his six previous starts to Saturday, he finished second on each occasion. In todays race Glimmer met a fair field which included among others, the Goldblatt filly, Fantastic. The latter was well supported by her people, who were confident of victory. Moreland, contrary to instructions, took Fantastic to the front directly the barrier was sprung and made entirely too much use of her, forcing the pace. The result was that when Glimmer challenged, Fantastic had nothing in reserve and the former drew away in the stretch run and won easily. Mose Goldblatt was much wrought up over Morelands ride on his filly and offered to wager John Nixon, Glimmers trainer, ,000 that Fantastic could beat Glimmer. Nothing, however, came of the defi. Glimmer just now is a good colt and with light weight can beat almost any horse racing here. The victory of Alsono in the opening event meant heavy losses for the ring. Alsono was about the only horse in the race that received any sort of support and he went to the post a well-tbaeked favorite.
