Ileknows broke slowly, but i.toved up well in the middle running, then tired in the closing drive and ran a bad race. Hal is best in mud. William II. Lyon showed early speed and dropped out in the stretch. The latter closed up rapidly and obtained a small lead into the stretch, but succumbed, in t.K last stride and seemed best. Marster, away very badly, closed a big gap. Samuel II. Harris, badly messed about and awav slowly, finished with a belated end rush. Smiling Tom broke poorly, was excessively urged to close a big early gap and forced the pace to the stretch, where be quit. Quinn Brady steadily improved his position from a poor send-off. Just So made up considerable ground. East End Kiiowed superior speed. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Bedouin broke slowly and was generally mishandled. Faust ran forwardly for the first half, dropped back on the far turn and then came again. Welbourne loomed up menacingly on the last turn, but weakened at the end. Temaceo held on steadily all the way and finished strongly. Miilnchance was outpaced all the way. Eudora showed brilliant early speed, headed the favorite oil the turn and forced the pace for six furlongs and then weakened. MIntberia was ciowded back repeatedly and had a very rough journey.
