Blum, who has been buying n lot of horses in training, broodmares and stallions during the past year for some wealthy gentlemen in Mexico, lias just returned to Kentucky from a trip abroad. Mr. Blum speaks very highly of the racing he saw in England and France, but is of the opinion that the turfmen of Germany, Austria and Russia are considerably behind the times. He has already purchased several horses and is in the market for some broodmares in foal.
