Suffrage, from a good start on the outside and willi clear sailing, raced into a long lead on the far turn and appeared an easy winner, but finished tiring badly. Sewell was a forward contender throughout and wearing the winner down witli a rush in the closing strides. Lad of Langden, away poorly, closed an Immense gap in a cyclonic finish. Number One, hemmed in badly and messed about, was running fast at the end after being sharply interfered with in a superior race. Clolsteress. after prominent contention for live furlongs, tired iu the closing drive. Danoscara kept on steadily, but was seemingly outpaced and can do much better. Hooray made up much ground and Is worth watching. Chief Haves ran a good race after getting off badly. Sal Volatile is a fast non-stayer. Harris, away slowly, improved his position steadilv and just failed to get up in a belated stretch challenge. Flavigny, pinched out at the half and thrown to ti e rear, nearly foil, then closed an immense gap and ran a superior race. Frank Lubbock made tho running for nearly a mile before he tired. Just So, after prominence, dropped out on the tfiv turn. DArkle was never dangerous. Phil Finch was crowded back at the half, hut ran a poor race. Lord Badge got away very badly.
