Winning Star found the going to her liking, ran well and was easily second best. Dottle S., away badly, closed a big gap early anil finished gamely. , Helen Holland was crowded In the final strides when coming fast. Malaga finished fast. Gay Gryselle made up ground. Spencer Reiff ran in improved form, but was a distant third. Bob Murphy made a bad landing three fences from the finish and was knocked out of a contending position. Greeno set the pace nearly all the way and, finishing on the extreme outside, seemed to some to have won. Wabash Queen closed a big gap and, finishing fast, was gaining at the end. St. Jeanne tired in the stretch drive. Mariposa made up much ground. Frank Lubbock showed early speed, but was knocked back on the stretch turn. The wiuuer was entered for 00: no bid. Countermand finished well. Omnipotent and De Burgo showed early speed, but tired in the stretch. Truro was crowded back in the final sixteenth. The winner was entered for ,500; no bid.
