JOCKEY MARTIN RETIRES. New York, December 11. Jockey J. Martin has made a final settlement with F. D. Weir, trainer of the Farrell, Sullivan and Johnson stable, and left New York for his home near Hamilton, Ont. Martin announces his retirement from the saddle and says racing has no further interest for-him. lie expects to make his permanent home In Canada and will probably embark in business next year.
