Hersain closed an early gap into a prominent position, but tired early. Dr. Sherman, away poorly, closed a gap. Peggy ONeal loomed up well on the last turn. Eckersall was given an easy ride. Balnade made up ground rapidly in the last half. Agreement, a coming good one, showed brilliant early speed, but tired in the stretch and was palpably short. Crystal Wave held on well.
