Sharp Boy set or forced a fast pace throughout, but tired in the last sixteenth and bore over 011 Mary Glenn, forcing Hardy, on the latter, to pull her up. Mary Glenn ran a good race and, in a long stretch drive, finished resolutely after meeting interference from the winner. Interlude ran well to the stretch, but tired in the final sixteenth and is ready. El Bernado finished gamely under the whip. Jake Ward ran fairly well. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Ouardi followed Gorgalete closely for the first mile and then dashed Into an apparent winning lead, but fired at the end. Gorgalete showed much speed for a mile, but found the distance too long. Stanley Fay also ran a remarkable race and, in a long stretch drive, finished with great gameness. Mark Antony II. was always prominent in the running, but tired in the final eighth and ran disappointingly. Critic showed great speed and hung on well under punishment. Marster finished with a rush.
