VANDERBILT BUYS ENGLISH MARES. Paris, December 21. It is announced in Le Jockey that M". Chcri R. Halbronn bought the following mares at the December Newmarket. England, sales for Mr. W. K. Vanderbilt: Sandflake. Sweet Hilda. Perpetua. Diamond Crescent. South Edinburgh and Dorothy Suhr. Mr. Vanderbilt is the proprietor of the Haras de Villobon. where his two great winners, Maintenon and Prestige, stand at a fee of 01 each. The six inares are grand ones and will do much to strengthen the Vanderbilt French stud. The mares are to be bred to Maintenon and Prestige.
