JOCKEY CLUB RULES AMENDED. i The official report of the- proceedings of the Jockey Club at its meeting of December 12, shows that the following amendments to the rules were adopted: Hule 1, paragraph 2. so as to read as follows: "A meeting held with the approval of the Jockey Club, or if held in any portion of the United States over which the Jockey Club does not exercise jurisdiction, or in Canada, under the sanction of any turf authority whose jurisdiction over racing of any nature is recognized by the Jockey Club, and which enforces the forfeit list of the Jockey Club and of sucli recognized associations, and which also gives effect to sentences imposed by these authorities upon persons guilty of fraudulent practices on the turf." Hule 8, paragraphs 1 and 2, so as to read as follows: "The stewards of the Jockey Club shall have power at their discretion to grant and withdraw approval to racing associations to conduct recognized meetings, and to grant and withdraw licenses to trainers and jockeys." "2. The appointment of the handicapper, clerk of the scales, starter, and judge or judges, forfeit clerk and all minor racing officials shall be made by them, excepting upon courses which are provided for in Part IV.. Rule 23A." Itule 23A sos as to read as follows: "With all applications for approval to conduct a recognized meeting, the names of all individuals who are to act as officials of the meeting must be submitted to and approved by the stewards of the Jockey Club before such approval is granted." The following applications to register names were granted: Eniile Anthony, to register under Itule 3.8 the chestnut filly, foaled 1002, by St. Nicholas II Princess Nellie. C. J. Brockmiller. to register under Itule 3S lie chestnut filly, foaled 10CG, by Mainspring Kiss Quick.
