OFFICIALS TO GOVERN EASTERN RACING. Now York. January 10. — There is every reason to believe that the dates given the different racing :t— ... i.uions by the stewards of the Jockey Club at its meeting yesterday will be satisfactory to all of thorn. The necessary concessions of days has come largely from the Westchester Bacing Association, ihe Coney Island Jockey Club. The Brooklyn Jockey club and the B-ighton Beach Association, which are the largest and most prosperous, and. while they gave much, they also had much to give in comparison to the smaller tracks. James Butler of the Kmpire City Racing Association, when seen to-day. said he was well pleased with the dates given the Yonkers track. August Belmont was re-elected chairman of the hoard of stewards of the Jockey Club and James It. Keenc will _ be vice-chairman for another year. F. K. Sturgis was elected secretary and treasurer. The lollowing officials for the year 1908 were afterward appointed: Clarence McDowell .and . II. p.lliugill. judges: M. ;. Crickmore. clerk of the scales: W. S. Vosburgh. haudicappel : Ittn CassJMV. starter; W. II. B.arretto. timer; li. 1. Iloiiian. starting judge: J. I.. Hall, patrol judge. and EL Conkliug, assistant to the clerk of the beaten.
