■ BALLET QUEEN TO MILLSTREAM STUD. Lexington. Ky., January 21. — The fifteen-year-old chestnut mare Ballet Queen, by Macaroon— Abundance, by Kaiser, has been purchased by Messrs. F. C. Bishop and Andrew Miller and shipped here for duty in Millstream Stud and will be bred to Adam next spring. Ballet Queen is a full sister to Gregory and Fortune, the first of which as a two-year-old iu 1S89 won the Neptune and Optional Stakes and ten other races, besides defeating the brown filly. Reclare. by Reform— Clara, in a Batch race during the Brooklyn Jockey Club fall meeting. Reclare won thirteen races that year, among them the Willow, Prospect and Equinoctial Stakes. %■ T. Smiley has purchased the seven-year old bay mare Ancestor, by Plaudit — Addie C. by King Alfonso. Ancestor is a half sister to Chant, winner of the Kentucky Derby of 1S J4 and sired by another Derby winner. Plaudit. She will Ik- mated with one of the best public stallions here this spring. No foals have l een reported from the .Millstream Stud as y.t, although several are expected within a short time.
