L" ~ " 11 " of _ • ;l FORT ERIE RACING PLANS THIS YEAR. The summer meeting of the Niagara Jockey Club at Fort Frie will eous-ist of thirty-six racing days, beginning July 27. and continuing until September 3. Inclusive. Contractor L. S. Long of Chicago has lieen awarded a contract to completely overhaul the plant and living it up to date in every respect, and he expects -to have all the alterations made before the meeting opens. He will begin work as soon as the weather permits. Frank H. Nelson. who has officiated a? associate judge in the stand at the Woodbine course for several years, will he offered the posiu n of presiding judge during the Fort Erie meeting, and either starter Dwyer . or Dade will do the starting. Louis A. Ceila and J. EL Madigan. who are stockholders, in the Niagara Jockey Club, announce that they will not start any of their horses in any race to be ruu during the meeting. While they do not know- ot any existing reason for taking this course they lielieve it will be for the best Interests of racing at the track.
