; ■ . I . . 1 , . 1 . MANY HORSES DEPARTING FOR TAMPA. New Orleans. La . January 22. — The first shipment of race horses from the local tracks to Tampa. Fla.. for the meeting there next month, was made yesterday on the steamship Morgan, something like fifty horses being in the consignment. This is the e initial movement of horses from New Orleans, and 1 the owners whose animals will make the trip are . as follows: William Gent, fanner and Ripy. C. W. Moore. Charles Paretto. H. Warner. Browning A: Perkins. W. P. Newcom. Scott and Cox. S. Orsin. A. M. Smith. L. C. Schobe. Scott Laffi, Palmer ft Eaton. Pons and Holder. H. Powers. M. D. Fulton. Charles s i Wilson. James Straits. C. K. Brosius. IS. L. Mardcrs. The owners who have already made reservations for the steamship Manteo, which will leave to- morrow for the Tampa meeting, are as follows: J. .McLennan. Lancaster Brothers. C. W. Powell I and Co.. S. Davidson. R. A. Wilson. H. Brown. .1. Hihlebrand. J. Hand. C. Houbre. M. Levy, Pons and t Holder and N. Hexter._ Each of these vessels will make one more trip p from this city to Tampa, sailing from here about t the end of the mouth and already reservations have e been i lade for marly one hundred horses.
