January 22. — President Joseph E. Seagram, of the Ontario Jockey Club, has been in the city for several days on business. Mr. Seagram reports that it was uecessary to chloroform the ,ourtecn-year-old bay mare Bon Ino. by Marauder — . Bonnie Ino, on account of infirmities of old age. Bon Ino was the dam of Inferno. Haruko and other good performers. Mr. Seagram says all of his horses are wintering well and that lnterno will, in his opinion, be hard to beat at weight for age over he Woodbine course next spring if he trains to expectations. The Valley Farm Stable has acquired by purcliase from the Kirktield stable of R. J. Kirktield was pur- n chased in utero from W. O. Parmer of the Eden- wold Farm in Tennessee. The other two horses r which mat represent the Valley Farm stable in the f running for the Plate are the three-year-old colt, , Scud, by tiold Car Splash, and Archie Whyte, the three-year old chestnut colt, by Derwentwater — t Noblee. |
