WON WITHOUT HAVING BEEN ENTERED. A very curious law suit is just about to come before the Brussels law court, which turns on the improbable fact of a mare winning a race for which she- never wiis entered. At the lasi moment the Vise-ount etc Buisseret wrote to the secretary of the aadaty: "1 withdraw all my horses for the Prix des Kiev, ins except Ramadan ami Moidienne." The race took place with both the animals named heading the list of entries. No one appears to have trembled to inquire whether Mordicnne iuiel been entered previously to the message. She won. and the prize woubl have been awarded, but the owuer of La Neva, which came in second, bat lodged an objection on the ground that Morelienno hail never been entered, and the affair is to be settled in court, the best three barristers in Brussels being engaged for the suit. The affair is further complicated by objee-tions lodged by the owners of horses which ran in sue ceeding races won by La Nevi from which she would have been excluded if it ts decidi-d that she really won the Prix des Kleveurs.
