Exchequer, after forward pursuit of the leaders throughout, got up for second place in the last stride. Wilmore made the running and finished in bad going, but held on unexpectedly well. Banoni m broke slowly and maintained -Hiking distance of the leaders tor five furlongs, but tired at the end. St. George Jr.. away poorly, closed a big gap. Celeres, nearly left, made up much ground. Lone Wolf steadily improved his position from a bad start. Captain Hale was nnexiieetedly prominent for six furlongs. Warning was badlv ridden and will do to watch. Henry O. got away very badly.
