WASHINGTON JOCKEY CLUBS STAKES. Washington, D. C, February s. — Announcement has been maile of the stakes of the Washington Jockey Club to tie run at il.« spring meeting, which Ixgins March 23. There is one marked change in the offerings. The Dinner Stakes, which formerly had an added money value of SI .000. is now mad a guaranteed stake. The winner is guaranteed 00. second |ttt and third 50. The subscriptions for the Dinner Stakes close February 13. Another change is found in tin- naming of a stake. What was known as Ihe Faster Monday Selling Steeplechase will be run as the First of April Sell ing Steeplechase. The stakes which close February 24 and already announced are: For two-year olds, the Dinner Stakes. Washington Nursery and Jesse Brown Cup. Foi three year-olds and upward, the Penning Spring Handicaps, to be run the first and last Saturdays ol the meeting and the Amateur Cup. The steeple chases are Spring Handicap Steeplechase, First ol April Scllim Steeplechase. Chevy Chase Hunters .Steeplechase and the Spring HuuU-rs Steeplechase.
