Smiley Corbett, winner of the last race, proved faithful to the trust reposed in him. Sam Hildreth was responsible for one of the big upsets of the meeting when he sent his splendid-li oking and high-priced Box — Toloache juvenile out to win. and backed him down from 50 to 1 to less than a third of those odds. Hildreths coup was effected with a promising youngster named Toll Box, which has been "•qualifying" by training in races since early in January. There were no stake races on the card. The principal racing feature was captured by Judge NeLson. which receded steadily in tlie market. Tie favorite. Joe Coyne, received a paw ride and was beaten by a narrow margin at the end. Jockey Hayes, who rode Joe Coyne to defeat, scored two victories on Kogo and Smiley Corbetl.
