The meeting is called on a suggestion from Colonel K. F. Clay, member of the State- Kacing Commission and proprietor of ltuiuiyiueilo-Stuil. It is be-lieved that if preeminent representatives of Kentuckys bre-i-eling interests appear be-fore the committee ami se-t forth the- importance of the theer-oughbi-eel industry to this slate, iu particular, and its general healing upon the- whole e-ountry. much good will be demc towards preventing a repeal of the Percy-Gray law. If that law is repealed the market for thoroughbred yearlings will virtually l»e destroyed, and. not only the- value of thoroughbred stock, but of farm lands as well in this vicinity will greatly depreciate-. Kve-ry man in the blue grass region who has any interest whateve-r in the thoroughbred horse or in racing is being urcd to attend the meeting. «.
