• NOTES OF THE TURF. The chestnut stallion Arabo has been added to the breeding bureau list and sent to Spring vllle, N. Y., where he will be in charge of C. A. -Richmond. Bedouin, which was raced last year in the name of R. II. Russell on account of a death in the family of Edward W. Jewett, will carry the Jewett colors this season. A large and representative crowd of New York turfmen will go to Albany to k* present at the hearing of the anti racing bills before the eodfs « onimittee on February 19. The physical condition of the horses at the Gravesend track is even better than that of the racers at Brighton and Sheepshead Bay. The oldest trainer cannot remember when a Gravesend colony was bett r off. . • Cairngorm is the training monitor for the Bel moot and Joyner two-yea r-ohls at Sheepshead Bay. .Toyuer says Cairngorm Is such a line tempered, level-headed horse that his leadership makes the handling of the youngsters an easy matter for the stable men. Trainer Thomas MeCreery thinks he can capture the First Benning Handicap, which will feature the program of the opening day of the coming spring meeting, with T. M. Cassidys Greeno. Greeno is not a sound horse and cannot race well on a hard track, but his races run over the sandy course at Washington last fall would indicate that, he likes that difficult going.
