Byron, forwardly placed from the start, drew out at the half, but just lasted the journey. Altair, nearlv left, closed an immense gap under a bad ride and was much the best. Hose Cherry broke slowly and maile up ground rapidly in the last half. Crigli showed the most early speed, but failed to stay and was short. Peerless Lass was shuffled back and closed -an immense gap. Ambitious quit badly after going three furlongs. Patriotic was prominent to the stretch. Lord Provost, after being reserved in close pursuit of the winner, loomed up menacingly midway of the stretch, but tired finally. Billy Myer. away poorly, closed a big gap quickly and tired in the closing strides. Curriculum had no chance with a bad rider, but ran a good race. Salvage found the track too hard. Sevenfull, went to the extreme outside In the stretch, was pulled over to the rail in the last furlong and finished with his rider sitting still. Sevenfull drew out quickly and set the early pace, but went hopelessly wide on the stretch turn and quit badly. Deutsehland quickly dropped hack, after lieating the barrier, but came on gamely at the end. Blue Heron looks good, was probably short and is promising.
