THREE SUCCESSFUL WESTERN STABLES. Last Years Winnings of the Horses Owned by L. A. Cella, Chinn and Forsythe and P. Dunne, L. A. Cella campaigned many horses last year and achieved a fairly satisfactory measure of success without any horse in his stable standing in tlie clear as something more than useful. Next to her in money won was Hyperion II., a hard hors- to beat in his class when thoroughly fit. Hen Strong, l.alla. Marathon. Miss Stronie and Tivolini all made sub stantial contributions to the stables total. From what his two year-olds are doing at New Orleans it may be surmised that his stable will even do bttcr in IMS. A. Cella. Chinn and Forsythe raced a big band of horses last year and had they been wise enough to have kept Montgomery, would hav ranked high up in the list of winning owners. Fven as it was. with a total of 4,365 as against 2. loo won in l!MKi, they did not do badly by any means. Montgomery had won 0,163 for them before he was sold and was their chief winnvr. Dorantes success in the Nursery Handicap at Belmont Iark gave him second place in their winning account and the speedy lilly.
