K«.seburg II. ran as if much the best, was away ixiorly on the extreme outside and forced to go wide throughout, but moved up sttadily antl fast, wearing the leaders down in the last sixteenth and got up in the last few strides. Nasturtia. "weakly ridden and swerving badly in the stretch, was going fast at the end and would have won in a few more strides. Brougham, saving much ground for the entire trip, ran a good race and finished resolutely. Hammock Boy. away fast and showing the most early speed, interfered sharply with his nearest attendants in the first quarter and tired badly in the last furlong. Poco-lahgo was close up at the finish. Lady Leota quit after going a quarter. Tony W. ran below his l est form and can do much letter. Watkins showed a brief Hash of speed. Waterway was in a forward position from the start and. when called on. moved up fast and raced Dr. Heard into defeat, then won going away. Dr. Heard was much used in the early racing and lost ground by going wide, but ran a good race and staved well in the final drive. Profitable, poorly ridden. and kept loo far back for the first ten jumps, finished fast and outstayed Fairy Flush at the end. The latter had lo lie taken back repeatedly to avoid interference and showed improvement. Dawson tired badly after going one turn of the field. Gait, forced to go wide all the way, ran a good race. Halbard. from a slow beginning, closed-a big gap and would have been third in a few more strides. Apache tired after going five furlongs. Zagg and Phil,| , Finch will improve. Arionette showed early speed, but tired in the last sixteenth. Elizabeth Har-wood had no mishaps and can do much better. The others were never serious factors.
