I I I 1 I I s I | I 1 i NOTES OF THE TURF. J. A. Bonnet has_ decided to make a steeplechaser out of Colewort. A fire alarm system has been installed at the iravesend track. The English junctor. John M. P.. is said to have wintered well and has gotten over the lameness which gave him Irouble last fall. Harmakis ami Willis Green, which E. Trotter lias had at tlie Tanforan track for several weeks, have become Mane and will not race for some time. A. J. Joyner has been suffering with tonsilitis for the past few .lavs and has not visited the stable for a week. He is recovering and will resume the training of the horses in his charge this week. Eugene Wayland says he will race his horses at Seattle this summer instead of coming east. Most of the horses in his stable have been sick during the winter, but he thinks they will recover fcefan the time arrives to ship north. David McDaniel, father of jockey B. McDaniel. is the representative of the Washington Jocke Club at New Orleans, and has distributed entry blanks for the coming meeting among the horsemen racing at City Park and the Fair Grounds.
