ANOTHER AMERICAN HARE WINS FAME At the recent Cnrragh meeting Richard Crokers Sleive Roe won the Spring Stakes like a good colt He beat eight others easily with 123 pounds up and was at 8 to 1 In the betting Sleive Roe Is well engaged in British stakes and is a hay colt 3 by Merman Pearl Set The latter is one of the American mares in Mr Crokers Glencairn Stud and was a notable performer in this country frorii 1889 when Brown Diet raced her as a twoyear old and in the east during later seasons in the colors of the Glcndale Stable
