DENVER BOOKMAKER FINED AND JAILED JAILEDDenver Denver June 27 Yesterday in the District Court a bookmaker was fined 100 and ordered to jail for six months on the charge of conducting a gamb ¬ ling game The promoters of racing had Insisted that horse racing was a sport and not a game but tho court decreed otherwise This decision will be taken to the Supreme Court and racing at Over ¬ land Park depends on whether a supersedeas can be secured to prevent Interference of racing until the slowgoing upper court can act upon the issues presented In the meantime the bad meeting at Littleton Park is going on
