YONKERS RACING FOR BRIGHTON BEACH BEACHTransfer Transfer of Empire City Events to tho Track Ry the Sea Now Most Probable New York July 0 It now seems most probable that the Empire City Racing Association will trans ¬ fer Its fifteen days of racing to the Brighton Beach track Managers Winn and Fitzgerald have it is vald agreed to the transfer and the State Racing Commission changeThe Is to be asked to sanction the change The Empire City Racing Association decided soine lime ago to run off all the valuable stake events arranged for last winter This was done after the HartAgnew bill was passed by the legislature and in spite of the fact that the Xonkers track having made no money to speak of last season did not have a reserve fund with which to make up possible losses As the horsemen who intend to take part In the Empire City meeting stable at Graycsend Sheepshead Bay Brighton and Belmont Park and as the stable room at the Yonkcrs track is rather limited It Is but natural for these owners of thor ¬ oughbreds to agitate a change of scene from West Chester to the Beach According to the racing laws a track may transfer a meeting to some other race course in case of fire or for other reasons and 8 the Empire City people have no idea of per ¬ manently abandoning their plant In Yonkcrs but wish to conmly with the demands of the horsemen there seems to be no good reason why the projected change should not be made The transportation facilities to the Yonkers track arc still inadequate and cannot be compared to the improved Brooklyn Rapid Transit accommodations for patrons of the track by the sea
