Ogemah ran a good race and was hard ridden all of the last quarter. Ed Shuster. a quick beginner showed a flash of oarly speed, but tired. Giles broke in front; but was nulled up. then closed on the leaders with a rush, but tired in tho stretch. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. Scratched 77134. Wild Refrain ot off slowly and was- taken to the outside, on the first turn, then went up on the in-sid to the front, but her rider was unable to keep her straight in the stretch and she was swerving all over the track in the last furlong. Gowanga finished gamely under punishment, but Just lasted long- enough to stall off New Garter. Tho latter closed a big gap and finished with a rush.
