RUMOR CALIFORNIA MAY SEE MASKETTE. j San Francisco. Cal. October 12. Advices from New York Indicate that the Futurity winner. Mas-kette. may be among tl-e horses that James R. Keene will ship here for a winter campaign. C. R. Elison notified Secretary Treat today that his stable would leave New York for the coast Immediately upon arrival of a car which has been ordered. W. OB. Macdonoughs stallion. Ormondale. will remain at Blue Ridge Stud another season, at the request of Henry Oxnard. Walter Jennings departed today for Santa Anita, where he will race his string, including Proper, which Is in trilnlng after a season in the stud. Proper will be run In selling races If his suspicious leg permits his starting. Blasingame Bros. Little Jane. Stlllcho. Johnny White and Colony arrived today from summer quarters at Fresno. Jounuy White has been attending races at the California fairs. .Tock-y Koerner has returned from Los Angeles and reported to S. C. Hildreth. He lias taken on much weight since the Seattle meeting cos d and will havp to reduce hard to make riding weight. , Col. W. E. Appl-gate notified Secretary Treat i today that h would ship eleven horses from Kentucky. His Seattle string, eight in number. Is already here. ,
