Belle of the Ball, prominent for five furlongs, finished gamely, but tired. My Manutch outbroke and outpaced the others for a half mile and tired badly in the closing drive. Distract was outpaced all the way. but finished moderately well. Merise trailed to the stretch and was gaining slowly at the end. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Dixie llimmel, after forward pursuit of tho early pacemakers, drew out on the far turn and held sway comfortably to the end. Golconda was well up in the early running and finished a fast going second. Malaga helped force the early pace and kept, well up afterwards. Cool, outpaced for half the Journey, made un ground at the end. Chaplet. never dangerous, ran a poor race. Enticing drew out after going the tin-t quarter and made the running in the middle quarter, but failed to stay. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Overweights Dixie Himmel, 5 pounds: Chaplet. 4. Wise .Mason indulged Garland with the lead for a half mile, then leisurely overhauled her and won off and pulled up. Garland beat the barrier and started to spreadeagle the others early, but tired badly in the last quarter. Siskin, outpaced to the stretch, finished well. Royal Onyx, from a flat-footed start, trailed for half the journey and closed up rapidly in the last half. Question Mark, after nearest pursuit of the winner to the stretch, quit badly and is still short. Poquessiug ran forwardly for a half mile. Red River showed superior early speed, but quit very badly. Fancy, after nearest pursuit of the pacemaker to the stretch, tired, but held on well into a good third. Rexane trailed fat back to midway of the stretch and finished well. Ueauclere, from a slow beginning, steadily improved his position, caught and passed the leader as if the latter was anchored in the last furlong and won pulling up. Coat of Arms, reserved in close pursuit for seven furlongs, drew out rapidly, but succumbed after a hard drive for the first furlong of the stretch. Ivanhoe ran forwardly from the start and held oh well at the end. Killochan trailed for the first mile and finished fast after entering the last quarter. Battleaxe set the pace for half the journey and dropped out on the stretch turn. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
