JOHN MCAFFERTY GOES TO SOUTH AMERICA. John J. McCafferty. whose career as dealer In horses, trainer and jockey has been one of the most picturesque known in America, left New York Monday on the Verdi for Buenos Ayres. where he intends to pursue the profession of trainer for one of the most prominent of South American turfmen. McCaf-fcrty will take with him some of the strongest possible letters of recommendation. In addition to training McCafferty may possibly ride the horses under his care. He speaks Spanish, which will aid him materially in his new home.
