Simcoe. from a flying sfart. won all the way unextended. Golden Legend, from a lucky start, was in forward pursuit of the winner throughout and ran a good race. Summer Night, away poorly and seemingly outpaced in the early running, finished fast and like a stayer. Grania closed up rapidly from the start and seemingly had third place safe in the stretch, but tired in the last strides. Eschau, shuffled back in the first half, made up ground at the end. Spellbound, pulling up at the start, was never a serious contender. Che-rcntue. nearly left, closed a gap and runs like a stayer. Eustacian showed early speed. Coat of Arms, crowded on the first turn, worked through on the inside in the middle running and loomed up menacingly on the stretch turn, but tired finally. Umbrella, away poorly, closed a big gap. Coincident trailed for six furlongs and was closing up fast at the end. Okenite, prominent to the far turn, failed to stay. Malaga showed early speed. Sanguine had no chance under a bad ride. Saracinesca. shuffled back early, closed up steadily into a fast going third. Heknows was on the inside in close quarters all the way and 1UlJing up repeatedly and finished close up. Belle Strome, never dangerous, ran a poor race. Esoteric was sore and always outpaced. The winner, entered for . was bid up to ,500 and bought In.
