Won driving: second and third the same. Point Lace, after saving much ground from the start, came with a rush in the last quarter and got up in the last few strides. Malecon. probably lest, finished fast, but was taken wide into the stretch, which cost her the race. Kilvany ran a good race and was gaining slowly at the end. Kenmare Queen showed much speed, but tired in the stretch. Giddy Girl, away fast, set the pace for a half before tiring. Ludhiana suffered from interference. Sea Swell, away- fast, went into a good lead from the start, but ran out on the stretch turn and had to be driven hard near the end to outstay Miss Crittenden. The latter was lucky, showed much speed and was wearing the winner down nt the end. Dr. Holzberg, bard restrained for three furlongs, saved ground when turning into the stretcli and finished gamely. Mabel Henry was forced all over the track and tired iu the stretch. Irfaneh showed speed for a quarter and quit in the stretch. Scratched 75097 W. A. Leach. 103. Mystl-fier followed the early leaders close up and, wnring them down in the stretch, won going away. Gresham ran a good race, but was excessively used for a half in an effort to wear Orlandot down and tired at the end. The latter showed the most early speed, but was tiring in the stretch drive. King Folly ran fairly well throughout. Fresli made up ground. Bucket Brigade did not show much early Sipeed. but was going well at the end. Transvaal ran poorly. Ethou was away forwardly, but was restrained for a half, then saved ground when turning into the stretch and came away fast in the last furlong. Al Mullcr showed great early speed but, when tiring in the stretcli. bore out badly and just lasted long enough to save second place. Dainty Dame was gaining at the end from a slow beginning. Woolstone set the early pace, but had to stand a hard drive In the last quarter to hold second place. Carew was going fast at the end and would have been second in a few more strides. Howard Shean. showing sudden improvement, was sent into a good lead after passing the half, but tired a trifle in the final sixteenth. Besterllng closed a gap and came with a rush in the last furlong. Lady Baldur made up much grouud and was prominent in the last quarter, but tired in the last sixteenth. Cymbal ran fairly well.
