JAMESTOWN MAY HAVE A MEETING. Norfolk. Va.. March U. — Application has been made by the Jamestown Racing Association for rac ing dates from the Jockey Club. It is the intention ! to give a meeting following that of the Maryland Jockey Club at Pimlico. The Jockey Club withheld its sanction for the first meeting held at Jamestown, but since that time the ruling against those who took part in the sport has been, rescinded, and the promoters have reason to bejieve that the request for dates will he granted. The meeting will take care of a number of horses that have hardly class enough to take part in the larger meetings to be held about New York, and it is a season that would not conflict with anv meeting to be held at one or the other of the Long Inlaid tracks.
