AS TO THE TIA JUANA RACE TRACK. I.os Angeles. Cal.. April ir .— Little is being said at present aliout the proposed meeting at San Diego for next winter. The belief is gaining ground her.-that in some way or another there will be a meeting at Santa Anita Park next winter, but under just what conditions the betting will lie conducted it is difficult to say. A number of unreliable persons circulated around the hotels here last week stating that they had been granted concessions by the Mexican government to run a race track at Tia .Tiiani. These persons were listened to only by the credulous, for they have no standing iu the racing world. If any concession is given out at Tia Juana for the purpose of carrying on the racing meeting there. Thomas II. Williams will first have to he consulted in the matter.
