LAWYER AROUSES LOUISIANA SENTIMENT. New Orleans. La.. May 29.— W. S. Parkcrson. president of the Ixiuisiaua Bar Association, in his annual address at the state convention of lawyers at Alexandria, today denounced the Locke anti-race track law as an ethical law which attempts to make people good by legislation. "It is just as easy to send souls to heaven by legislation, declared president Parkcrson. His address has created a sensation over the state and in many quarters it is interpreted as the begin ning of a positive movement for the repeal or at least modification of the Locke law at the next session of the legislature just one fear hence. The linn stand taken by Mr. Parkcrson as the head of the Louisiana Bar Association is being widely applauded here tonight. lie also condemned rigid liquor legislation.
