Donau, a prominent contender for five furlongs, quit right at the end. The Fad ran in prominent I-iirsuit of the pacemakers to the stretch and quit badly. Fauntleroy was well up early. Campaigner showed improved early speed and held on persistently. Mirzer, shuffled rearward on the baekstreteh, trailed in the middle running and finished well.
