MRS. LIVINGSTONS GOOD FILLIES. New York. July 14. Mrs. Lillian A. Livingston seems to have two-year-olds for all manner of races. Shu has introduced smart lldriin colts in Lovetie and Kingship, and she lias two of tho smartest lillies hereabouts in Amelia Jenks and Bang. Amelia Janks is the better of the fillies. She is a strapping daughter of Arnieath II. and The Bloomer and, although she failed to beat Ocean Bound in the Vernal last Saturday, she easily took second place money from Greenvale and Angerona. And Greenvale and Angeroua were at their best In the Vernal. The Hamburg filly had just established a new record for live and a half furlongs on the grass and Angerona had worked five-eighths of a "mile around the turn at Gravesend in better than 1:01. It seems improbable just now that Ocean Bound may be beaten by a filly of her own age. But if she is defeated Amelia Jenks seems to be the miss that will do it. Amelia Jenks is Rancocas-hred. Bang, a daughter of Plaudit and Bad Hit, is not, however. Rancocas-bred. She was foaled at John E. Maddens Hamburg Place stud. Mrs. Livingston purchased her last season. Bang is still a maiden, but she is a promising one.
