Lord Clinton broke slowly, but steadily improved his position into a fast going belated second. May Florence ran in nearest early and strenuous pursuit, but tired in the closing" strides. Top Notch, away poorly, closed a big gap in a cyclonic finish. Madeline L. closed up steadily and was gaining with a rush at the end. Motion trailed hopelessly rearward to the stretch and was; gaining at the end. Glopper ran in brief prominence. Love Watches showed early speed, but failed to stay. Golconda drew out quickly after shutting off Miss Crittenden and made the running by a wide gap for the first mile, then tired badly. Miss Crittenden ran in nearest and persistent pursuit of the pacemaker and was wearing him down slowly for second place in the stretch. King of Bashan ran well up from the start and was going well in the last furlong. Montrose ran forwardly for seven furlongs and tired badly. Osorine ran forwardly throughout under an inadequate ride. Trois-Temp,. from a bad start, closed a big gap on the extreme outside and finished like a shot. Norfolk ran well up all the way. Billy Bodemer was prominent to the stretch and quit. Racquet got away poorly and was badly outrun all the way and the same applies to Tom McGrath. Radium Star, from a slow inside start, trailed to the stretch, then just failed to get up in a good stretch rush. Saudrian ran forwardly and persistently throughout.
