FRENCH TURF SUITS J." E. WIDENER. New York, September 23. Joseph E. Wldener of Philadelphia, just back from abroad, denies tin? report recently cabled to this country that-he hail given up racing- in France and was .bringing his stable back here. "If I have given It up this is certainly the first I have heard about it.said Mr. Wldener. "There is no truth in It. I have- only half a dozen horses over there, and tlies are now in winter quarters at Mnisons-Latntte. 1 ha,ve had a pleasant season in France. There are few Americans racing over there, principally. I fancy, because American horses are not eligible for the flat races, but sucli as have been there cannot complain of anv unfair treatment in the races In .which their horses have lceH entered. Personally. I etiioyyd my experience on the French turf thoroughly."
